Giving Opportunities
The American Inequality Lab is responsible for raising all of its operating support from foundations, corporations, other organizations and individuals.
Below we describe giving opportunities available to those interested in supporting the Lab. Contributions are tax-deductible. Checks should be made out to President and Fellows of Harvard College/American Inequality Lab. For more information about giving opportunities, please e-mail us at rfryer@fas.harvard.edu, or call us at (617) 496-0982. We appreciate your support! Core Support
The Lab's greatest need is for flexible operating support that will allow us to build experimental programs, evaluate existing interventions, and place resources in areas of highest priority. Funds allocated for core support will be used to develop our research and implementation capacities, implement new initiatives and respond to urgent and time-sensitive needs.
Minority Project Manager Fellowships
The Lab's philosophy is grounded in the desire to use science for social change. Minority Project Fellowships encourage minority students to take 2 years after their Baccalaureate degree to investigate social problems in their communities.
Empirical Education Reform
Programs and initiatives to increase educational achievement are underway around the country without a sense of what works and what does not. One of our goals is to have a series of rigorous evaluations of educational reform projects taking place around the country. We believe these evaluations will go a long way in halting programs that do not work and expanding those that do; allowing public officials to make better use of their limited resources.
